  • Coop RLFs Support Tornado Recovery in Marshalltown

    In response to the July 19 tornadoes in central Iowa which devastated many businesses and homes, Consumers Energy Cooperative, Heart of Iowa Communications Cooperative, and Marshall Economic Development (MED) have partnered to provide interest-free microloans from $5,000 - $10,000 to established Marshalltown businesses affected by the tornado in order to help with short-term capital needs.

  • Governor Helps Dedicate Shell Building in Spirit Lake

    The creation of a new $779,000 speculative shell building on East Fifth Street in Spirit Lake was heralded in January. The building was dedicated Wednesday morning, and Gov. Kim Reynolds joined community members and project partners to cut the ribbon on site in northeast Spirit Lake.
