Southwest Iowa Egg, of Massena started operations in 1999 as one of the first 501 Value-Added Cooperative organizations in the State of Iowa.  The 275, investors mostly local farmers, add value to their corn by providing it as feed to their poultry operation, which presently produces 14 million dozen eggs annually.
