The Goodyear Tire and Rubber plant has been a vital part of the Southeast Iowa economy for over 30 years, employing over 200 people at the Mount Pleasant facility that produces industrial and automotive hoses.  In 2004 the Goodyear Company completed a one million dollar expansion that included an 11,000 sq. ft. addition requiring 20 new employees.   Goodyear Tire and Rubber Company has been a world leader in tire and rubber products since 1889.
