American Natural Processors, Inc. of Galva, started in 2000 as a way to sustain small family farm, is now one of the largest organic oilseed processors in the United States.  American Natural Processors, with locations in Cherokee and Hartley, added a third location in Galva in 2014.  This new facility is a former biodiesel facility that has been expanded and retrofitted to crush algae and produce both food grade and machine grade oil. The Galva facility employs 25 people and is on track to be at full production, running 24x7 by the end of 2014.
