De Jong Greenhouses, Inc. has invested over $3.5 million in its facilities.  New environmentally friendly and efficient closed-loop irrigation systems have been installed along with computer-controlled monitoring systems that adjust for light, humidity, temperature, wind speed, and direction.  Founded in 1932 by Martin De Jong, the company has for three generations successfully embraced new strategies for growth, while remaining steadfast to old, time-tested values of customer service and superior products.  Today 28 full-time and 10 regular part-time employees help support production and administration in facilities totaling five acres under roof.
