Char-Mac Co-owners, Stan and Jeanine Chartier, with their friends and families in mind, conceived the concept of providing assisted-living to “one of their own.” Based on this concept, they built two senior-living facilities, the most recent one opened in Holstein in 2012. Among the special offerings are garages, secure golf cart parking, in-house theater, a community living room with a fireplace, a daily home-cooked meal and a fitness room. Char-Mac Assisted Living has been honored with the top Iowa Assisted-Living AWARDS in 2004, 2007, and 2009; and also received the top National award in 2008.
