Nominated by Franklin Rural Electric Cooperative

LeMar Industries (formerly Hall Industries) is a manufacturer of conveyor belt systems located in Sheffield, Iowa.  The company has invented and manufactured a variety of conveyor belt systems for commercial operations.  Perhaps the most unique application of Hall Industries is a baseball retriever for practicing baseball pitchers.   More conventional applications in Iowa and the Midwest have been conveyors that can load large amounts of grain from outside storage piles.  An inventor starting out of his garage in 1993, LeMar Industries (formerly Hall Industries) now occupies a 22,500 sq.ft. manufacturing facility and employs five people in rural Franklin County in north central Iowa.
