IADG received some excellent news for rural Iowa when we were notified two awards were approved for funding from the USDA Rural Economic Development Loan & Grant (REDL&G) program. A new 56-acre industrial park near Wilton was made possible with a $298,000 Rural Economic Development Loan (REDL) from Eastern Iowa Light & Power Cooperative, and a $300,000 Rural Economic Development Grant from Central Iowa Power Cooperative.
The second award was a $344,000 REDL sponsored by Harrison County Rural Electric Cooperative. This will assist Grato Holdings, lnc. to construct a new 10,000 sq. ft. central warehouse facility in the industrial park in Woodbine, and also will allow the company to consolidate its four existing warehousing buildings into one efficient warehousing operation for all of its products.
