Huxley Launches New I-35 Business Park

posted on Monday, November 26, 2007 in News

The Huxley community in Story County is nicely positioned along Interstate 35 and in between two growing areas.  With Ames and Iowa State University within 11 miles to the north and Ankeny and the Des Moines area just nine miles to the south; Huxley is creating a very desirable location for business and industry looking to take advantage of both regions.  Monsanto Corporation for example recently completed a major research facility at the Huxley exit on I-35.

The Huxley I-35 Business Park has just been launched this fall by the Van Wall Group.  The 163 acre site is fully serviced by infrastructure with high speed internet capabilities only a short distance away with extension plans underway.

The Huxley Business Park has excellent frontage and visibility to I-35 and within a mile of the Hwy. 210 exit where the Monsanto project is located.   A tax increment financing (T.I.F.) district has also been established for the area.  From a gravel road to pavement the City of Huxley has assisted with infrastructure extensions and road improvements to the site and going into the development.

Consumers Energy provides power to the new Huxley Business Park.
