Clarke County Hospital Expands

Clarke County Hospital, currently a 25-bed hospital, is undergoing a significant renovation and 42,500 sq. ft. building expansion. The project includes a new emergency department, UnityPoint  clinic, outpatient clinic and specialist clinic. Both Clarke Electric Cooperative (CEC) and Central Iowa Power Cooperative (CIPCO) secured funds through the Rural Economic Development Loan & Grant (REDL&G) program to support this project. CEC provided a $2 million loan and CIPCO has loaned an additional $360,000 to support the project.
