The skyline along I-35 near Huxley is changing as a massive 88,000 sq.ft. spec building is taking shape in the Blue Sky Commons business park. The Van Wall Group and Interstate Land Properties are constructing the building at the southern edge of the 165 acre business park which is just north of the Monsanto complex on Highway 210.
Huxley City Administrator, John Haldeman said, “The park has advanced in several development phases over the past few years with road improvements and infrastructure extensions. Now with the spec building under construction we hope that will attract more activity to the site and general area.” Josh Potter with the Van Wall Group said, “The visibility and access to I-35 is tremendous and the site offers competitive pricing and operational costs in between the Ames and Des Moines markets. The building and park will also promote green energy with a wind turbine to be installed that will provide part of the energy requirements for the project.”
