Shelby County Cookers is a bacon processing and cooking facility located south of Harlan.   The start up operation purchased a 40,000 sq.ft. spec building in 2004 and since have expanded the building by 14,000 sq.ft. to establish a state-of-the-art food processing facility.  Shelby County Cookers currently employs 65 people and expects to grow to over 200.
