ITC Midwest has three operating companies that share a focus on building, maintaining, and operating a reliable electric transmission grid for its utility customers. The parent company, ITC Holdings, announced the creation of ITC Midwest and recently acquired electric high-voltage transmission lines in the central Iowa region from Alliant Energy.   The purchase included the acquisition of approximately 6,800 miles of high voltage transmission lines and approximately 170 transmission substations located in Iowa, Minnesota, Illinois and Missouri.  ITC Midwest haspurchased a 30,000 sq.ft. spec building located in the Perry Industrial Park for a warehousing distribution center.  The facility now serves as a base of operations for 25 ITC Midwest staff.
