Green Plains Superior, located in Superior, Iowa is a 55 million gallon per year ethanol facility.  The operation is part of Green Plains Renewable Energy based Omaha, Nebraska.  The parent company bolstered by the Superior facility is the fourth largest ethanol producer in North America with 657 million gallons of ethanol annually produced.  Green Plains Superior Ethanol employs 47 people at their operation west of the Superior community in northwest Iowa.
