Mount Pleasant Spec Building Under Construction  Mount Pleasant Area Development, Access Energy, and Northeast Missouri Power Cooperative have come together again to build their third 50,000 sq. ft. spec building in Mount Pleasants’ Crossroads Industrial Park. The previous two spec building projects are each home to successful operations which include: Mount Pleasant Foods, a meat slicing facility that attracted a cold storage company located next door. The most recent 50,000 sq.ft. spec building was purchased by Fluoro-Seal a plastic coating company based in Texas.
This current spec building project is under construction and should be completed by this fall. Access Energy has been instrumental in securing a $300,000 grant from USDA Rural Development for the project. The grant will be loaned to the project at zero interest, and ultimately returned to the Access Energy revolving loan fund.
