Iowa REC's & IADG Secure $3.4 Million for Iowa Projects  Iowa RECs and IADG will help boost Iowa’s economy with another successful round of USDA Rural Development loan and grant awards. USDA officially made their announcement that $3.4 million dollars had been awarded to seven rural Iowa projects and IADG member systems. The following electric cooperative members will receive funding for local development projects. Grants: · Access Energy Mt. Pleasant Spec Building $300,000 · ILEC ILCC Sustainable Energy Center $300,000 · Northwest REC Remsen Medical Clinic $300,000 · Osceola Electric Osceola Community Hospital Renovation (Sibley) $300,000 Loans: · Access Energy Cambridge Investment Research $740,000 · Butler Co. REC Unverferth Manufacturing $740,000 · Corn Belt IA Northern Railroad – Butler Terminal $740,000 Total: $3,420,000
