Hancock County in northern Iowa has landed a $90 million dollar integrated egg laying facility near Corwith.  Hawkeye Pride LLP has begun construction on a 120 acre site that will contain a 4 million bird egg laying operation complete with a feed mill and inline egg breaking facility for liquid egg processing.   The site will be expandable to 6 million birds and will ultimately employ 80 people.  

 

Iowa Area Development Group worked with Prairie Energy and company officials on the site selection process to help finalize the project for the Corwith area.  Prairie Energy will provide power to the Hawkeye Pride LLP complex in Hancock County.
