Bauer Built Continues to Expand in Paton

A great Iowa success story is found in Bauer Built Manufacturing Inc. in Paton, Iowa.    A classic company that filled a need in the marketplace from the farming operation.  From a general welding and farm equipment repair shop in 1979 the company began applying new techniques and innovation to farm equipment.  In 1989, Vaughn Bauer, president and CEO started to build planter bars which led to the creation of the Bauer Planter Frame.  Now Bauer Built builds large scale planter bars exclusively for John Deere and has products shipped to dealerships around the world. 

Bauer Built has completed several expansions to their operation in Paton over the past 10 years are expanding again with a 60,000 sq.ft. addition.   The company employs over 50 people, is a 2003 Venture Award recipient, and supplied power by Midland Power Cooperative.
